ESA WEATHER SAFETY TRAINING (Sponsored by DTN)

  • Charlotte Convention Center 501 South College Street Charlotte, NC, 28202 United States (map)

ESA’s Weather Safety Training is designed by professional meteorologists for our event colleagues who work all types and sizes of events. From heat risk and poor air quality to windstorms, hail and lightning, this course will provide the participant with the tools necessary to create proactive weather plans and to prepare for prompt decisions that protect artists, staff, stakeholders and patrons.

With weather volatility ramping up—historic floods, winds and heat waves are seemingly more commonplace every year—this course will alleviate weather fears, dispel weather myths, and answer the question: In the face of this weather forecast, how do we still conduct a fun and safe event?

Who Should Take This Course?

Anyone who wants to understand weather risks of all types should take this course, including:

  • Emergency management

  • Event operations

  • Production staff

  • Venue managers

  • Public safety officials

  • Artists and artist representatives

  • Insurers

  • Anyone who wants to understand weather risks of all types.

The class will briefly combine with the ESA Crowd Manager Training course at the end of the day.
