2017 Event Structure and Stage Accidents

The above list of event structure and stage accidents in 2017 makes clear that severe weather continues to be a leading threat to outdoor live events around the world. Of the 45 recorded incidents listed, over 60% (28) can be at least partially attributed to weather-related factors. Thorough engineering, competent construction, proactive weather monitoring, and an effective emergency action plan are all crucial to protecting those in our care.
